The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is a constitutional body that recruits candidates for state government posts — including Group 1 (Gazetted Officers), Group 2 (Executive Posts), Group 3, Group 4, Panchayat Secretary, and AE/AEE exams. Notifications are released year-round at psc.ap.gov.in.
The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) was formed after the 2014 bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh to conduct recruitments for Telangana state posts. Both commissions conduct similar exam types (Group 1, 2, 4) but for their respective states, with state-specific General Studies sections in their syllabi.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Age limits generally range from 18–42 years, with standard relaxation for SC/ST/BC categories. There is no cap on the number of attempts — candidates can apply as long as they meet the age criteria at the time of notification.
